Hi, I’m Marlys!
I’m the director of Finding Bluebirds, and I’m so happy you’ve found our community! Just like you, I wear many hats–Momma, Caregiver, Wife, and Worker Bee to name a few.
Parenting, special-needs parenting and/or being a working parent is challenging, demanding, and often isolating. Rediscovering HAPPINESS and HOPE has helped me reduce the overwhelm and loneliness I’ve experienced as a busy special-needs Momma while trying to balance the rest of my life.
Finding Bluebirds–HAPPINESS and HOPE–when you feel buried in despair takes intention and is absolutely possible.

Our mission is to help moms, with a particular dedication
to special-needs moms.
We have found through our own unexpected journey of being special-needs parents that there are not enough places to connect online and be encouraged. Unfortunately, there are too many places online that make you feel more inadequate and more unprepared than you already make yourself feel.
At Finding Bluebirds, we want to be a supportive community for those moms who are looking for more HOPE and more HAPPINESS. We envision an encouraging community that actively builds each other up but also shares the challenges of raising a special-needs child.
